1. INTRODUCTION
BrowseMind ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension 
developed by Ritik (www.ritik.co.in). This privacy policy 
explains how the Extension handles user data.

2. DATA COLLECTION AND STORAGE
The Extension collects the following data from web pages 
you visit:
- Page title
- Page URL
- Website domain name
- Page meta description
- Page headings (h1, h2, h3)
- First 500 characters of page content
- Page favicon URL
- Time spent on page
- Page visit timestamp

ALL of this data is stored LOCALLY in your browser using 
IndexedDB. This data NEVER leaves your browser and is 
NEVER transmitted to any external server.

3. AI-POWERED FEATURES
When you use the AI Search or Daily Digest features, the 
following limited data is sent to our secure server for 
AI processing:
- Your search query text (for AI Search)
- Page titles and domain names only (for search ranking 
  and digest generation)

IMPORTANT: Full page content, URLs, and browsing history 
are NEVER sent to any server. Only minimal data required 
for AI processing is transmitted, and it is not stored 
on our servers after processing.

4. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
- We do NOT collect personal information
- We do NOT collect email addresses
- We do NOT create user accounts
- We do NOT use cookies
- We do NOT track browsing activity for advertising
- We do NOT share any data with third parties
- We do NOT use analytics tools
- We do NOT collect IP addresses in the extension

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Extension uses Google's Gemini AI (via a secure proxy) 
for natural language search and digest generation. Only 
search queries and page titles are sent for processing. 
Google's privacy policy applies to their processing of

6. DATA RETENTION
- Browsing memories are stored locally for the duration 
  you configure in Settings (default: 90 days)
- You can delete all data at any time from Settings
- You can export all your data as JSON at any time
- Uninstalling the extension deletes all stored data

7. USER CONTROLS
You have full control over your data:
- Pause/resume memory saving at any time
- Add websites to a blocklist to prevent saving
- Configure data retention period
- Export all data as JSON
- Delete all data with one click
- Adjust minimum time threshold for saving

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Extension is not directed at children under 13 and 
does not knowingly collect data from children.

9. SECURITY
All data is stored locally in your browser's IndexedDB, 
which is sandboxed and isolated. AI requests are sent 
over HTTPS to a secure Cloudflare Worker proxy.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. 
Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date.
